spring is around the corner

I am so glad to see my camellia blooming--a sure sign that spring isn't far off!

I saw some flowering here in the BOP about a month ago and haven't seen any lately...will be good to have some colour though.

How beautiful are those blooms? It is still burning hot down here, and the blooms are still around. They won't start to disappear until October or so. I'm enjoying them while they are here. Thank you for sharing with us at Photo Friday again this week!

My mother grew camellia's in our yard in California near San Francisco. They were the same pink color and I was instantly transported back to the 50's when I opened your blog. Time travel is possible!

Oh and a beautiful reminder it is!! I can barely remember the last time I saw a camellia -- living as we do nowadays in the subtropics in early spring.
